Sadly, I haven't posted a gay panic item in a while, and this one is particularly egregious - a 28-year-old man claims a 70-year-old made some kind of advance that caused the assailant to claim he had to kill him because the Old Testament told him to. (via The Advocate):
John Joe Thomas, the 28-year-old man who stoned mentally handicapped senior citizen Murray Seidman to death, was a priest in the Mormon Church, reports Philly.com.Oh, by the way, Thomas didn't mention that he was the sole beneficiary of Seidman's will. In the Philly.com piece, "Brother Thomas" was "hospitalized half-dozen times for psychiatric emergencies."Thomas, after becoming a Mormon priest, baptized the Jewish-born Seidman in the Church of Latter-Day Saints - Thomas had befriended the 70-year-old Seidman before the older man was found dead in his apartment last month, hit 10 times in the head with a rock stuffed inside one of his own socks.
