Earlier today on MSNBC, Thomas Roberts spoke with Katie Carmichael and Deirdre Dibiaggio, who were refused a marriage license by Ledyard, New York town clerk Rose Marie Belforti. The town has refused to address Belforti's rejection of her duties, which she says is based on her religious beliefs.
As you may recall from my earlier postings, People for the American Way has demanded Belforti fulfill her lawful obligations or resign.
