You would think that the National Organization for Marriage, an anti-gay group committed to fighting nuptial equality, would approve of Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain's assertion that President Obama's refusal to defend DOMA is an "impeachable offense."

Apparently Cain doesn't go far enough for NOM, however, because NOM chair Maggie Gallagher blasted Cain's remarks in a blog post.

"We need someone who does not just talk the talk, but walks the walk on marriage. That's why we asked all the GOP candidates to sign NOM's 5-point marriage pledge. [Minnesota Rep. Michele] Bachmann, [former Pennsylvania Senator Rick] Santorum, and [former Massachusetts Governor Mitt] Romney have. Why hasn't Herman Cain?" wrote Gallagher.

She went on, "President Obama claimed he supported traditional marriage but then failed to follow through. If Herman Cain wants to distinguish his position from President Obama, he should commit to concrete actions, not just rhetoric in support of marriage."
